A little about where we are

Since you are going to show us your home, I thought I should show you a little about our homes.

First off, an overview. The following is a map of Maine showing where Milton Anderson (Mick) and Irelann Kerry Anderson (Kerry) live.

Next we have a couple of aerial photographs, First Milton Anderson:

Milton and Flora Anderson's home is the group of buildings in the upper part about 2/3rds of the way across. The homes of three of their sons are also visible here. Victor Anderson's house is in the upper right corder, Mark Anderson's is in the small clearing about ¼ from the left and ¼ up from the bottom, Tracy Anderson's house is just right of center.

Next Irelann Kerry Anderson:

The house is almost exactly in the center of this image. The dark area to the left is the Penobscot river. The lot is 2 acres extending from the road to the river. The blue lines are the town lines, the diagonal is that between Eddington and Bradley, the one running up the river is that between Eddington and Orono.

While I was in Monson on June 24th helping my parents get set up for Internet access, I took a few pictures. What follows are reduced resolution versions so as not to clog up a dial up line too long. You can get the full resolution images by clicking on the images.

This is the house where Milton Anderson lived while growing up. As you can see it is now a Barbeque Pit.

This is the house Milton and Flora Anderson raised 6 boys in. Wade Anderson lives here now.

Next a few views from the deck on Milton and Flora Anderson's house.

Next a couple of pictures of the house.

The plants taking over the front of the house are grape vines.

Next some pictures of Kerry and Therese's House. These were taken on June 27th.

A view from the road. We are fairly well hidden behind a large cedar hedge. That is Laurel next to the house looking at something in the flower garden.

A view down to the back yard. Therese is trying not to be seen to the right, Jessica is baking in the sun on the picnic table.

A view from the back. The steps going to nowhere are because we (well Therese actually) are digging to put new footings in for it.

The Path down to the river behind the house.

A view onto the river behind the house. Land use regulations don't allow any building or cutting within 250ft (80 meters) of the river in our area, so it appears wild.
